Of course you’re not bound to use the included menu themes. When you double-click on the background in the editor (in the menu page preview, see arrow) a menu opens and you can select a different source for your background. You could, for example, use a movie as background instead of an animated theme.

Apart from the previously selected background (theme) the drop-down list also includes by default all videos of your project.

For example: You added several holiday videos to your project to be burned on a video disc. A clip from each of these videos can be found in this menu and could be made into the background of your menu. Just click on the drop-down list (see arrow). There you’ll find all clips of the videos from your project. If you’d like to use a movie that’s not part of your current project, that’s no problem. Just click on Load other Movie and select the desired movie on your hard drive. From then on a clip from the movie will be the menu background.
